Chocolate Covered Fruit

What can be more simple that dipping your favorite fruit in chocolate?

To begin, we need to melt the chocolate.  The best way to do this so that your chocolate doesn’t burn is to place water in a small pot and bring it almost to a boil.  Once the water is hot, place a heat tolerable bowl on top of the pot.  Place the chocolate in the bowl and gently stir the chocolate until it melts.

* Hint- failure to keep mixing will cause the chocolate to harden and burn on the bottom.

Have your fruit ready to dip.  This means wash the fruit, and place sticks to create pops if you so desire.

Dip each piece of fruit into the chocolate.  It depends on which types of fruit you choose on how far you should dip.  Generally strawberries you don’t cover the entire thing, but bananas you do.  Place the chocolate dipped fruit onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper and place in the fridge or a cold place to let them harden.

Once the initial chocolate is harden you may add other layers of chocolate to create designs.
